(I) Equipment Overview

The 2-head honey piston filling machine is the core filling equipment of the fully automatic honey filling production line. Adopting a piston servo-driven structure, it is specially designed for high-viscosity fluids such as honey and syrup, and can realize precise quantitative filling of empty bottles after UV sterilization (filling accuracy ±1%). The equipment controls the piston stroke through a servo motor, adapting to honey bottles of different specifications from 100g to 1000g, and also has the function of independent adjustment for each head, which can effectively solve the problems of honey adhesion and dripping. It matches the capacity of the UV sterilization tunnel at the front end and the capping machine at the back end of the production line (capacity: 1200-1500 bottles per hour based on 500g products), and complies with GB 31654-2021 National Food Safety Standard - Hygienic Requirements for Equipment and Utensils in Contact with Food.

(II) Core Structure

  • Filling Unit: Includes 2 sets of stainless steel piston pumps (made of 316 stainless steel with polished inner walls to reduce honey adhesion), food-grade imported silicone hoses, filling heads (equipped with anti-dripping one-way valves and an air-blow structure to avoid stringing), and piston-driven servo motors (accuracy: 0.01mm, ensuring synchronous operation of the two pistons). The height of the filling heads can be adjusted via the lifting bracket controlled by the touch screen (to adapt to bottles of different heights; during the first adjustment, parameters such as bottle height and filling volume are recorded and automatically stored by the PLC, and when changing bottle types, the parameters can be selected with one click to automatically adjust the bottle height and filling volume).
  • Feeding Unit: Equipped with a stainless steel material storage tank with a liquid level control system. When the honey level in the tank is lower than the set level during operation, the feeding pump automatically supplements honey to maintain the pressure in the tank, ensuring stable and accurate filling.
  • Bottle Positioning Unit: Consists of a conveyor belt (with the same height as the conveyor belt of the UV sterilization tunnel), a bottle dividing wheel (ensuring equal distance between bottles entering the filling area), a servo motor that controls the filling heads to track the translation of empty bottles, and a sensor (detects when bottles are in place and triggers the filling action).
  • Control Unit: Includes a touch screen (for setting filling volume, filling speed, parameters of different specifications, etc.), a PLC control system (realizing synchronous/independent control of the two pistons), and an emergency stop button.
  • Auxiliary Unit: Comprises an anti-dripping air-blow device (connected to compressed air to blow off residual honey on the filling heads after filling) and a liquid level sensor for the material storage tank (connected to the feeding part to automatically supplement honey when the liquid level is low).

(III) Applicable Characteristics

  1. Viscosity Adaptability: Can handle honey with normal temperature or heated viscosity. The viscosity is adjusted through the heat preservation of the material storage tank to ensure smooth filling.Bottle Type Compatibility: Adapts to the provided glass bottle samples. The bottle parameters can be selected with one click on the touch screen, and the filling machine automatically adjusts the height of the filling heads and the filling volume.
  2. Easy Cleaning: The conveying pipelines use food-grade imported silicone hoses with no dead corners at the joints and quick-connect interfaces for quick disassembly and cleaning. After removing the material cylinder via the quick-lock interface, the touch screen can be operated with one click to automatically disengage the cylinder (the servo motor controls the lead screw to automatically push the material cylinder inside the piston pump out to the equipment plane, avoiding manual disassembly and cleaning). After discharging residual materials, connect a water pipe for automatic online cleaning; the sewage is discharged through the drain pipe. After cleaning, confirm that the card slot position inside the material cylinder is not deviated (manually push it back to correct if deviated), and then lift the material cylinder with one click. This meets the requirements of food production.

Parameter Presetting

  • Filling Volume Setting: According to the bottle specification, adjust the filling volume and bottle height on the touch screen for the first time, then save the recipe parameters. The equipment automatically calculates the piston stroke (a "manual inching" test can be performed; after sampling and weighing, fine-tune the stroke until the error is ≤ ±0.5%).
  • Speed Setting: Set the filling speed (10-20 bottles per minute for dual-head synchronous filling; for high-viscosity honey, it is recommended to reduce the speed to avoid dripping) and the bottle positioning delay (0.2-0.5 seconds to ensure filling starts after the bottle is stable).
