UV Sterilization Tunnel
The UV sterilization tunnel is often used in conjunction with the air-blow bottle washer for secondary sterilization of bottles in the honey filling production line. It ensures compliance with food production hygiene requirements and forms a process connection with the preceding bottle-washing equipment.
(I) Equipment Overview
The UV sterilization tunnel is a key sterilization device in the fully automatic honey filling production line that connects the air-blow bottle washer and the filling machine. It uses deep ultraviolet (UVC) light with a wavelength of 254nm to sterilize the surface of empty bottles after air-blow cleaning, which can effectively kill bacteria, molds and other microorganisms on the inner and outer walls of the bottles (sterilization rate ≥ 99.9%). It makes up for the deficiency that air-blow cleaning only removes impurities but cannot sterilize, further ensuring the hygiene of containers before honey filling, and complies with the requirements of GB 14881-2013 National Food Safety Standard for General Hygienic Specifications for Food Production.
(II) Core Structure
- Sterilization Chamber: Made of 304 stainless steel.
- UV Lamp Set: Equipped with 80mm-long UVC lamps, which are arranged on the top and both sides of the chamber to achieve dead-angle-free irradiation.
- Conveying Unit: A conveyor belt highly compatible with the conveyor belts of the air-blow bottle washer and the filling machine. The belt speed can be adjusted by a frequency converter to ensure that the bottles have sufficient sterilization time in the chamber.

- Bottle Type Compatibility: Compatible with the provided honey bottle samples, no mold replacement required.
- Capacity Matching: 1200-1800 bottles per hour, synchronized with the capacity of the air-blow bottle washer and the filling machine.
- Safety Features: Complies with the safety standards of GB 19258-2012 UV Germicidal Lamps. The UV leakage outside the chamber is ≤ 0.5μW/cm² (within the human safety range) to avoid burns to operators.
